Hillyer Community Chorus

HCC is a local community chorus that offers singers throughout the Raleigh/Durham/Triangle area an opportunity to perform selections of great works by modern masters a well as master composers of sacred music: Bach, Schubert, Mozart, Berlioz..... We welcome members of the community to attend our concerts which are free and open to the public.
Interested singers with basic music reading and singing experience are invited to join. No audition or fees required.
The Spring Concert for the Hillyer Community Chorus was held on May 18th featuring songs of Hope and Homecoming.

It has indeed been a long time since I updated this web site but that doesn't mean things haven't been eventful. The Hillyer Community Chorus held a beautiful concert in May with selections from favorite classical masses and requiems from previous concerts. Also included in the concert were a wide variety of beloved and possibly, familiar songs from modern composers.
Unbeknownst to us, it would be our last concert under the direction of Julie Riccardi, our director of the past several years. Even though it pains us to have her leave, we wish her immeasurable success and happiness in her new position at Ripon college in Wisconsin.
As Julie also directed the Chancel Choir at Hillyer Church, the Church is looking for someone to direct both groups.
Until we have a new director, we cannot provide any details about the traditional Winter Concert that HCC has held and plans to continue. The search is going well. We have several promising applicants so expect to have someone in place as our new director soon. Stay in touch for information as we have it.
if you are new to the area and are looking for a place to sing, please call Clay at 919-740-8823. He will put you on the contact list for the Community Chorus. Clay could also help you if you would like to sing on Sundays with the Chancel Choir. You would be welcomed there too.
